The Council on Science and Education is an advisory body that addresses one of the main priorities of the President - education, science and innovation. The objectives of its meetings are to identify and address strategic challenges facing education and science in Bulgaria, to focus on the direction for the development of Bulgarian science and education in the coming years, and to encourage partnerships in the knowledge triangle (education - science - business).

The Council on Science and Education is organised and directed by the Secretary of Health, Education and Science. The composition of the council is not permanent and it includes a wide range of interested partners: representatives of state authorities, local government, civil society, experts and professional organizations, businesses, and the Presidential administration.
