At the Economic Forum in Warsaw President Rumen Radev Called on the Polish Business to strengthen its Positions in Bulgaria

President Rumen Radev presented today in Warsaw the advantages for investments in our country at a Polish-Bulgarian Economic Forum, in which representatives of 55 Bulgarian and 170 Polish companies took part. Together with his Polish counterpart, President Andrzej Duda, the Bulgarian Head of State confirmed the readiness of the institutions in the two countries to work for ensuring a better connectivity between Bulgaria and Poland which serves the interests of the people and business.

“In the past years Bulgaria has had stable macroeconomic indicators and a low deficit, as well as an advantage thanks to its strategic location,” the Head of State said. Rumen Radev emphasized that from Bulgaria’s territory the business may also gain a quick access to the Middle East, Asian and African markets.

“The leading credit agencies confirmed Bulgaria’s stable short-term and long-term credit rating at the beginning of this year. Industrial zones with the respective infrastructure and communications , as well as tech parks continue to be built in our country,” Rumen Radev said and commented that this fact offers attractive conditions for the investors. “Bulgaria is conducting a reform of its education system, the qualification of the human capital is being increased and we have all prerequisites to achieve joint success,” the President added.

Six agreements worth over 30 million euro were signed at the Economic Forum and the Head of State voiced conviction that this is yet another successful step in the bilateral economic partnership. “We must strengthen our cooperation because not only is the world global, but also the challenges. To be competitive, we must unite both our efforts and our opportunities,” the Head of State further said.

“Real business is done where there are interests and an even better business is done where there is trust. There is a historically-grounded trust between Bulgaria and Poland to create an efficient business,” the Head of State further emphasized. In Rumen Radev’s words, the Three Seas initiative provides the opportunity for all Eastern European countries to improve their connectivity and to ensure much more intensive contacts between the businesses and the people.

The President also invited the representatives of the Bulgarian business to take advantage of Poland’s leading place in many sectors, not only in the implementation of infrastructure projects, but also in the sphere of information technologies.

President Andrzej Duda, for his part, said that the Bulgarian business may implement a greater number of successful projects on the Polish market, and may establish joint partnerships in implementing joint infrastructure projects.  Andrzej Duda highlighted energy, specialized production and strengthening the partnership between the SMEs from Bulgaria and Poland as promising sectors in the bilateral economic cooperation. “We are willing to increase to a greater extent the innovativeness and attractiveness of the products Poland offers. New decisions made by new joint enterprises will increase our attractiveness on the Bulgarian market,” the Polish Head of State further said.
