President Radev Discussed with an Estonian Delegation Bulgaria’s Forthcoming Participation in the Three Seas Initiative in Tallinn

Head of State Rumen Radev received an Estonian delegation today at 2 Dondukov street on the occasion of Tallinn’s forthcoming hosting of the Three Seas Initiative. The regional forum for political dialogue has the goal of promoting transport, energy and digital connectivity in East Europe. The Ambassador of Estonia to Bulgaria, Ingrid Kressel Vinciguerra, took part in the meeting held in the presidential institution.

The talks focused on the implementation of the priority projects within the initiative, part of which are of considerable importance also for our country. The two shared the opinion that the readiness declared by the United States to provide financial assistance of 1 billion dollars to the joint projects creates favorable conditions for introducing more pragmatism in the regional initiative.

At the meeting the Head of State voiced Bulgaria’s interest in hosting the summit of the Three Seas Initiative in 2021. President Radev already held talks on the topic with US President Donald Trump, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis, Polish President Andrzej Duda and also with his Estonian counterpart Kersti Kaljulaid.
