Rumen Radev: Bulgaria Will Continue to Promote the Development of High-Tech and Green Industries

Bulgaria has clearly stated its ambitions to develop high-tech and green industries. This is what President Rumen Radev said during the official ceremony of signing a declaration by which Bulgaria joined the European Battery Alliance.

The Alliance brings together more than 800 industrial partners, technology companies, financial institutions and R&D centres and aims to establish Europe as a leader in achieving a climate-neutral economy and making it a hub for innovation in batteries, electric mobility and energy storage.

Bulgaria's accession to the Alliance opens new horizons for Bulgarian science, industry and innovation, President Radev stressed. In his words, this country gets the opportunity to integrate and actively participate in leading research and business development projects through a much more intensive investment partnership.

President Radev addressed the representatives of the Alliance and of foreign companies and urged them to use the opportunities for cooperation with Bulgarian industry and science.

In his address, President Radev also expressed his appreciation for the work of the Bulgarian Investment Agency and the Ministry of Innovation and Growth. In his words, they have succeeded in forming a new vision for Bulgaria's investment policy and the political will to build the country's largest Dobroslavtsi state-owned industrial zone, specifically targeting the automotive industry and related segments.
