Margarita Vucheva was born in Stara Zagora on December 18, 1964. She graduated from the “Georgi Kirkov” English Language High School in Plovdiv.
She earned a master’s degree in tourism economics from the University of Economics in Varna in 1988 and a teaching certificate from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in 1995.
She completed a basic diplomatic course and a course in consular diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs between 2008 and 2009.
She underwent training in administrative skills and ethics in public administration in Barcelona, Spain, as well as at the National School of Administration (ENA) in Paris, France, in 2016.
Since 2002, she has been an employee of the Presidential Administration, serving successively in the Protocol Directorate, the Office of the President, the Office of the Chief of Staff, and as head of the “Presidential Program” unit.
She was appointed Chief of Staff to the President of the Republic of Bulgaria by Decree No. 160, effective May 15, 2026.
