The Bulgarian presidential institution will be an anchor in efforts towards more and a stronger Europe. Vice President Margarita Popova said this at a conference in Munich entitled "Protection of EU financial interests through combating fraud in Europe".

President Rosen Plevneliev has signed his first decrees as Head of State.

President Rosen Plevneliev met today at 2 Dondoukov Boulevard with European Commissioner for International Co-operation, Humanitarian Assistance and Crisis Response Kristalina Georgieva and European Commissioner for Regional Policy Johannes Hahn, who were visiting Bulgaria. This was the new President’s first meeting after his inauguration.

At a ceremony today, Rosen Plevneliev took office as President of the Republic of Bulgaria.
