"Today we need a new dose of modern patriotism in opposition to extreme nationalism. Modern patriots defend the rule of law because there is no peace without rules. Modern patriots support the principles of international law where the disputes are solved by means of arguments not by means of weapons, propaganda and hybrid wars", the President said in a speech on the Occasion of the Day of Courage and the Bulgarian Army.

The gas interconnectors with Greece and Romania are a priority for our country and Bulgaria is working hard to ensure their implementation. This is what President Rosen Plevneliev said at a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev, which was held within the framework of the Bulgarian Head of State’s working visit in Baku to take part in the Third Global Forum.
