The President made his first statement before journalists after he took part in the ritual for consecration of the military flags and the sacred banners of the Bulgarian army in front of the monument to the Unknown soldier in the capital.

Representatives of the Bulgarian community in Morocco and Moroccan citizens who took their university degree in Bulgaria raised issues related to the opportunities for the development of the cultural exchange between the two countries, the legal requirements for acquiring a Bulgarian citizenship, as well as the means to receive education in Bulgaria at a meeting held with Vice-president Margarita Popova.

Bulgaria and the Kingdom of Morocco may exchange experience and working practices and pool efforts in the sphere of migration policy, granting asylum and citizenship. This is what Vice-president Margarita Popova said at the meeting she had with Driss El Yazami, chair of the National Human Rights Council.
