The President of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev is following with concern the development of the situation in Ukraine after Russia’s Upper House of Parliament adopted a decree which allows the usage of Russian armed forces in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. If necessary, the President will convene the Consultative Council for National Security.

Actions of armed forces of unknown origin directed at occupying sites from the critical infrastructure of Crimea are observed. An attempt has been made to speed up the disintegration processes in Ukraine.

Bulgaria and Turkey will continue working for the development of good-neighborly relations and for securing more cohesion between the Southeast European countries. This was the position shared by President Rosen Plevneliev and Ahmet Davutoglu, foreign minister of the Republic of Turkey, who held a meeting at 2 Dondukov street.

Presidents Rosen Plevneliev and Filip Vujanovic voiced their support for pooling efforts to popularize the cultural and historical heritage of Bulgaria and Montenegro, as well as that of the whole region of the Balkans. Today the two statesmen visited the historical town of Kotor in Montenegro.

In the talks he held with President Rosen Plevneliev, Milo Djukanovic, prime minister of Montenegro, invited the Bulgarian business circles to invest in Monte Negro. The two held talks on the first day of the official visit of the Bulgarian Head of State to Montenegro.
