The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) agreement between the European Union and the United States is expected to contribute to an annual growth of the GDP worth 0.4 up to 0.5 percent of the European and US economy by 2020 and would improve the life of 800 million people.

“The reform in the judiciary must produce results that are visible for the Bulgarian citizens.” This is what President Rosen Plevneliev said, who today opened the second public debate on the topic: “Efficient and fair judiciary”, organized under the aegis of the Head of State within the initiative “Dialogue with the citizens.” More than 250 participants are taking part in the forum held in the Central Military Club in Sofia.

In the past years we have been witnessing qualitatively new processes in the region of Southeast Europe, we have reached a phase of unprecedented peace, friendliness and understanding, President Rosen Plevneliev said at a gala-dinner at the EU-Balkans forum, organized by the Economist weekly. In his statement, the Head of State highlighted European integration as a major engine of positive change and the Balkans – as a region having enormous potential.

There are no irresolvable issues between Bulgaria and Croatia and, on the political level, there have never been more favorable conditions for a sincere cooperation and good-neighborly relations. Only together can we make Southeast Europe a region of prosperity and stability, President Rosen Plevneliev, who opened together with Croatian President Ivo Josipovich a joint Bulgarian-Croatian business forum, said today.
