“We have shown that in these difficult times it is possible to make the right decisions that lead to good results,” President Rosen Plevneliev told City of London financial institutions executives at a meeting today in London.

Bulgaria has fulfilled all the requirements for accession to the Schengen area, and I believe that our country will get a fair assessment of the results achieved, President Rosen Plevneliev told reporters today after being asked to comment on a statement a few days ago by German Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich.

German investments in Bulgaria, and ways to increase them, were discussed by President Rosen Plevneliev and Professor Hans Driftman, president of the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce.

The protection of Bulgarian and foreign citizens in Bulgaria from terrorist attacks remains a top priority for the security services, President Rosen Plevneliev said after a meeting that he convened of the Consultative Council on National Security.
