Healthcare reform will be a condition for the granting of EU funds for Bulgaria in the next financial framework for the period 2014-2020 and is therefore particularly important in the coming months that our society agrees on the goals of health reform. Austria will take a positive stance on Bulgaria's accession to the Schengen area at the EU Justice and Home Affairs Council in October. This became clear after the meeting of President Rosen Plevneliev with his Austrian counterpart Heinz Fischer in Vienna. Austria considers that the framework and conditions for Schengen membership have been met by Bulgaria.
