Electoral legislation should set stable rules and mechanisms to be the guarantor of democratic elections in Bulgaria, President Rosen Plevneliev said at a round table dedicated to problems and solutions regarding the electoral process in Bulgaria.

European politicians will not produce growth while postponing important structural reforms and appropriate “growth” must be filled out with substance, President Rosen Plevneliev said today. The President today opened at the University of National and World Economy a conference entitled “Preconditions and prospects for sustainable economic growth in Bulgaria and Europe”.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon praised the work of Bulgarian officials in the Organisation to President Rosen Plevneliev. In all of the UN structures, about 30 Bulgarians are employed, some at very high positions.
