Attempts to impute guilt are a manifestation of disrespect to the rescued Jews and to the moral feat of tiny Bulgaria during World War II, the head of State says during the opening of an exhibition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the rescue of Bulgarian Jews

The rescue of the Bulgarian Jewish community during the Second World War is a source of national pride for all Bulgarians because not a single Bulgarian Jew was deported to the Nazi death camps. This is what President Rumen Radev said during a meeting at the Presidency with members of organisations of Bulgarian Jews in Israel.

Vice President Iliana Iotova and visiting UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Culture Ernesto Ottone talked about the power of culture and education in times of crises. They highlighted UNESCO's growing role for education, science and culture in an increasingly divided and dangerous world. Vice President Iotova shared her conviction in the power of cultural diplomacy.
