Bulgaria needs a responsible caretaker cabinet which will address the public’s problems

At the current moment of a political and social crisis Bulgaria needs a responsible caretaker cabinet which will address the problems that provoked the public discontent. This was the position voiced by President Rosen Plevneliev and Sergey Stanishev, Assembly floor leader of the Coalition for Bulgaria group. The head of state handed down an exploratory mandate for forming a government to the Assembly floor leader of “Coalition for Bulgaria” group which was turned down by the BSP leader.

The head of state emphasized once again that by the time it is adjourned, the National Assembly must approve the necessary legislative amendments on which a consensus was reached at the meeting of the Consultative Council for National Security and which will meet public expectations for justice. Sergey Stanishev submitted to President Plevneliev a proposal concerning the priorities that should lie at the basis of the work of the future caretaker cabinet.

The head of state confirmed his readiness to hand down an exploratory mandate for forming a government to the third largest group in the National Assembly, that of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms.
