“Every Bulgarian, no matter where they are throughout the world, cherishes the deed of the two apostles, the fond memories about a favorite teacher, and the memory of a book that they have been given as present, and the intransient song devoted to the two brothers.” These were the words with which President Rosen Plevneliev greeted the guests of the exhibition “In the beginning were the words”, which was opened today in the town hall of the Ellwangen municipality, Baden Wurttemberg, commemorating 1150 years since the Great Moravian enlightenment mission of Cyril and Methodius.

“To develop Slavonic Studies without Bulgarian Studies is like depriving a child of childhood and view of life.” These are the words with which Vice-president Margarita Popova addressed the guests at the opening ceremony of the “Taras Shevchenko” National University of Kiev.

After holding consultations on forming a government with the parliamentary groups, represented in the 42nd National Assembly, President Rosen Plevneliev handed Plamen Oresharski, candidate for prime minister, nominated by the second largest group in the National Assembly – that of Coalition for Bulgaria, an exploratory mandate for forming a government. Earlier the candidate nominated for prime minister by the largest parliamentary group – political party GERB, returned the mandate for forming a cabinet he was handed by the Head of State.

o one will benefit from a yet another early general election, President Rosen Plevneliev said at a meeting with the Bulgarian media in Brussels, after his participation in the European Council meeting was over.
